Making sure it’s working

 1. Roll a check, save, or attack from D&D Beyond, and it should show up in Discord

Optional: Setting your character for this server

ℹ️ This is relevant for you if you roll checks / attacks for your character from Discord, and you are active simultaneously on multiple servers with different characters. If you are exclusively making rolls from D&D Beyond then this section is optional, but I’d still suggest you do it.

 1. Avrae has a concept of a “global” character and a “per-server” character, and by importing a new character, it sets it as the new “global” one
 2. Your global character will be what’s used regardless of what server you are in, unless you have a “per-server” character selected for that server
 3. Thus if you have multiple servers using Avrae, set this character to be for this server only with !char server; this command takes your current “global” character and sets it as your “per-server” character
 4. On other servers (if you haven’t done so already), you can set the character for that server with !char <*name of your character>*, followed by !char server

Optional: Keeping your character up-to-date

 1. Whenever you edit your character (like their level, stats, portrait, or name) do an !update
